What is Cut & Sew Manufacturing?
Cut and sew manufacturing is the most advanced form of garment production — where every piece of fabric is cut from custom patterns and stitched into a finished garment built entirely to your brand’s design specifications. Unlike printed blanks or stock garments, cut and sew gives you total control over fit, fabric, construction, and finish.
At Unida Sports, cut and sew is our core craft. We don’t decorate other people’s blanks — we build garments from zero. Pattern, fabric, cutting, stitching, pressing, and packing all happen inside our 35,000 sq. ft. facility, supervised by master tailors with 15–25 years of trade experience.
This is the manufacturing process trusted by premium streetwear labels, MMA brands, and performance sportswear companies worldwide because it produces garments that look, feel, and last like real retail-grade product.
The Problems Apparel Brands Face — & How Unida Solves Them
After 20 years in the industry, we’ve heard the same frustrations from clothing brands worldwide. Here’s what’s broken in cut and sew manufacturing today, and how we fix it:
❌ Problem: Inconsistent Quality Between Orders
Most factories deliver perfect samples, then ship sloppy bulk. Stitching unravels, sizing drifts, fabrics feel different.
✓ Unida Solution
Every bulk order is checked against the approved sample at 4 stages of QC. Same fabric mill, same operators, same standard — order after order.
❌ Problem: High MOQs Block New Brands
Most cut and sew factories demand 500–1,000 pieces per style, killing startups before they launch.
✓ Unida Solution
We accept orders from just 50 pieces per style — designed for new brands testing the market without burning capital.
❌ Problem: Slow, Vague Communication
Brands wait days for replies, get vague timelines, and never know what stage their order is in.
✓ Unida Solution
Dedicated English-speaking project manager, daily WhatsApp updates, photo proof at every production stage.
❌ Problem: Hidden Costs & Surprise Fees
Quotes look cheap, then balloon with “extra” charges for branding, packaging, and shipping.
✓ Unida Solution
One transparent FOB quote covering fabric, trims, decoration, branding, packaging, and freight. No surprises.
❌ Problem: Sample Looks Great, Bulk Looks Different
Samples are made by senior tailors, but bulk goes to junior operators — quality drops dramatically.
✓ Unida Solution
Senior tailors lead bulk lines too. Plus our 4-stage AQL 2.5 inspection ensures every shipment matches the sample you signed off on.
❌ Problem: New Brands Get Treated Last
Big factories prioritize big clients. New brands wait months for samples and feel ignored.
✓ Unida Solution
We specialize in growing new brands. Same priority, same patience, same craft — whether you order 50 pieces or 5,000.

Our Cut & Sew Process: Cutting · Stitching · Pressing · Packing
Cut and sew is a craft, not an assembly line. Every garment passes through four critical departments inside our factory — each operated by specialists trained in their single discipline.
✂ Cutting Department
This is where every garment starts. We use both computerized auto-cutters و manual cutting tables depending on fabric and order size. Markers are digitally engineered to maximize fabric efficiency. Multi-ply spreading allows us to cut hundreds of identical pieces in one pass — accurate to within 1 mm. Stretch fabrics, ripstop, French terry, fleece, and woven fabrics each require different blade types and pressure — our cutters know them all.
🪡 Stitching Department
Our stitching floor runs over 120 industrial machines across single-needle, double-needle, overlock, flatlock, coverstitch, bartack, button-hole, and zigzag operations. Stretch garments (rash guards, leggings) use flatlock for chafe-free seams. Heavyweight streetwear uses double-needle topstitching for durability. Our master tailors have 15–25 years of trade experience — they don’t just sew, they build garments.
♨ Pressing Department
A great garment can be ruined by bad pressing. Our pressing department uses industrial steam presses, vacuum boards, and hand-iron stations calibrated to each fabric’s heat tolerance. Cotton, polyester, blends, and stretch fabrics each get specific temperature and pressure settings. Garments come out crisp, flat, and retail-ready — no creases, no shine marks, no fabric damage.
📦 Packing & Finishing Department
The final stage that brands often overlook — but customers see first. Our packing team handles thread cleaning, lint removal, hangtag attachment, woven label inspection, polybag insertion, size stickers, and master carton packing. Every garment is folded to spec (some brands want flat-pack, others want tissue-wrapped or rolled). Cartons are weighed, labeled, and palletized for export. This is the difference between “factory product” and “retail product.”
🔍 Quality Control at Every Stage
Each of the four departments has its own QC checkpoint. By the time a garment reaches packing, it has been inspected at fabric, stitching, pressing, and final stages — following AQL 2.5 international standards. This is why our defect rate stays below 1.5%.

Cut & Sew Manufacturing — Frequently Asked Questions
What is cut and sew manufacturing?
Cut and sew manufacturing is a custom garment production process where fabric is cut from your brand’s unique patterns and stitched into finished garments. Unlike printing on blank tees, cut and sew lets you control every element — fabric, fit, construction, branding — for true premium retail-grade product.
What’s the difference between cut and sew vs. blank decoration?
Blank decoration means you buy pre-made tees or hoodies and add prints. Cut and sew means we build the entire garment from raw fabric — your fit, your fabric, your branding inside and out. Cut and sew is required for premium streetwear, MMA, and performance brands.
What is the minimum order quantity for cut and sew?
Unida Sports accepts cut and sew orders from just 50 pieces per style — one of the lowest MOQs in the industry. This makes us ideal for new brands, capsule drops, and limited-edition releases.
How long does cut and sew manufacturing take?
Custom samples take 10–15 days. Small bulk (50–500 pieces) ships in 7–14 days. Medium bulk (500–1,000 pieces) takes 15–20 days. Large bulk (1,000–5,000) requires 30–40 days, and enterprise volume (5,000+) takes 40–55 days.
I’m a new brand with no tech pack — can you still help?
Yes. Many of our clients start with just sketches, reference samples, or a Pinterest mood board. We build your tech pack, engineer the patterns, recommend fabrics, and walk you through every step. You don’t need to be a designer — you just need a vision.
Do you ship to the USA, Europe, and Australia?
Yes. We deliver cut and sew garments to over 40 countries, including the USA, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, UAE, Japan, Korea, and Singapore. We offer DDP, FOB, and door-to-door shipping by air or sea.
Can you handle MMA, streetwear, and sportswear in the same factory?
Yes — we run separate production lines for each category. MMA and fightwear use sublimation, four-way stretch, and flatlock specialists. Streetwear uses heavyweight cotton and double-needle stitching. Sportswear uses moisture-wicking polyester. Same factory, different specialists.
What payment terms do you offer?
Standard terms are 30% advance to confirm production and 70% balance before shipment. We accept bank wire (T/T), Wise, PayPal, and Western Union for sample-stage payments. For repeat clients with order history, we offer flexible terms.
